OUR STORY...

How we met...
July 9,2002. We met through a mutual friend at Sam's Boat, and it was love at first sight. We have been inseparable ever since

Marriage Proposal...
September 2003. Kevin had called me at work and asked if I would check his P.O. Box, because he was expecting important paperwork. As I opened the mailbox I noticed a small wooden box. I pulled it there was a note that read, "I love you, and wouldn't change a thing except...". I was so confused. When I opened the box there was a pink note that read "Your last name!". Ok I thought and I left the post office. Much to my surprise Kevin was standing outside with a ring and proposed. Of course I said YES!

Wedding...
April 3, 2004. We had an outside wedding in my mother's backyard, in her gazebo. Family only and our ceremony, and close friends at the reception. If I had it to do all over again, I wouldn't do anything different. It was the most perfect day.

Honeymoon...
We took a 7-day cruise to the Western Caribbean. We went to Puerto Rico, St. Martin, St. Thomas, and St. John.

May 2004 - Present...
Two weeks after returning from our honeymoon I received the best Mother's day gift any girl could receive - we were pregnant! I had always been told I couldn't naturally conceive children so we knew God had His hands on us from the start. At 6 wks. I found out it was not a viable pregnancy and had a D&C. We were crushed, but decided we would try again. August 2004, we were pregnant again! At 8 1/2 wks we found out we were having twins. We thought, "Praise God"! My doctor had a hard time seeing heartbeats, so she sent me over to the hospital for a better ultrasound. It was there we found out that the twins had passed 5 days earlier. I couldn't bear the thought of naturally miscarrying so I had another D&C. I thought I was going to loose it. March 2005, we found our selves pregnant again and facing another miscarriage. I couldn't understand why God could put someone through the pain of loosing 4 children when I all I ever wanted was to be mother. Little did I know God had much bigger plans for us. It took me a long time to hear what God had been trying to tell me since the first miscarriage. Adoption. Kevin and I went to an international adoption seminar in October 2005 and began all the paperwork, which has now led us to our son, Caleb and daughter, Mia.
